This paper focuses on Global Trade Management (GTM) trends in chemical and pharmaceutical manufacturing companies, with an emphasis on the challenges and solutions for Global Trade Compliance (GTC). The chemicals and pharmaceutical sector is subject to a growing number of global trade regulations, making trade compliance a cornerstone of effective GTM for these companies. In order to uncover best practice GTM solutions in this sector, Aberdeen has investigated survey data obtained from 61 companies in the chemicals and pharmaceutical industries that participated in the Global Trade Compliance Priorities in 2008 study.
